[:en]SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 29
“But your many enemies will become like fine dust, the ruthless hordes like blown chaff. Suddenly, in an instant, the Lord Almighty wil come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire” (Isaiah 29:5-6)
“The Lord says: ‘These people come near to med with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men” (Isaiah 29:13)
“You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to him who formed it,’He did not make me’? Can the pot say of the potter, ‘He knows nothing’?” (Isaiah 29;16)
“Once more the humble will rejoice int he Lord; the needy will rejoice in the HOly One of Israel. The ruthless will vanish, the mockers will disappear, and all who have an eye for evil will be cut down” (Isaiah 29:19-20)
WOE TO DAVID’S CITY
Ariel is Lion of God, the city of Jerusalem.
DESCRIPTION OF ARIEL:
- A Besiege City (vs. 2-8) – They were being encamped and seized. They spoke with mumble voice. But the Lore Almighty will come and defeat their enemies and deliver them.
- A Blind City (vs. 9-16) – The people were blinded with drunkenness. They did not understand spiritual things. Theyw orship God with their lips but their hearts were far from Him. They set their own plans. They were like the pot trying to fool the potter.
- A Blessed City (vs. 17-24) – When Christ comes, God’s people will hear His Words. They will see God’s work and keep His name holy. They will gain understand and accept instruction.
