[:en]SCRIPTURE:  ISAIAH 64

“Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him” (Isaiah 64:4)

“Yet, O Lord, you are our Father.  We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.  Do not be angry beyond measure, O Lord; do not remember our sins forever.  Oh, look upon us, we pray, for we are all your people” (Isaiah 64:8-9)

When the enemy attacked Israel, they were being defeated because God did not intervene.  So, Isaiah prayed to God for mercy.  He interceded for the people when he said:  “Do not be angry beyond measure, O Lord, do not remember our sins forever.  Oh, look upon us, we pray, for we are all your people” (v. 9)  After all this, O Lord, will you hold yourself back?  Will you keep silent and punish us beyond measure? (v. 12).

God will only reveal His power when we fall down to pray and surrender to Him.  Let us be an intercessor to stir the need to confess our sins and seek God’s face.[:]
