“The sword is appointed to be polished, to be grasped with the hand; it is sharpened and polished, made ready for the hand of the slayer. Cry out and wail, son of man, for it is against my people; it is against all the princes of Israel. They are thrown to the sword along with my people. Therefore beat your breath” (Ezekiel 21:11-12)
“Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “Because you people have brought to mind your guilt by your open rebellion, revealing your sins in all that you do – because you have done this, will be taken captive” (Ezekiel 21:24)
BABYLON, GOD’S SWORD OF JUDGMENT
God used Babylon as his batter sword to judge the people of Israel. God pulled His sword from its scabbard and pointed it toward Jerusalem and Ammonite. The sword will be sharpened and polished to flash like lighting ready to slay and strike. Every heart will melt, every hand will limp, every spirit will become fain and every knee become as weak as water (v. 7)
Sometime, God uses unbelievers to accomplish His purpose. What has happened now reveals that the coming judgment of God is near. What will be your response?[:]
