[:en]SCRIPTURE: EZEKIEL 43
“He said: “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place for the soles of my feet. This is where I will live among the Israelites forever. The house of Israel will never gain defile my holy name – neither they nor their kings – by their prostitution and the lifeless idols of their kings at their high places. (Ezekiel 43:7)
“Now let them put away from me their prostitution and the lifeless idols of their kings, and I will live among them forever” (Ezekiel 43:9)
THE GLORY RETURNS TO THE TEMPLE (vs. 1-12)
The temple will be a place of sacrifice. The glory of God returns to the temple from the east and fills the house. God commanded Ezekiel to describe the temple to the people of Israel withy its design, arrangements, exits, entrances and all its regulations and laws (v. 11)
THE ALTAR (vs. 13-27)
All the measurements of the altar were specified. Regulations for sacrificing burnt offerings were being written down. They were to follow it before God will accept their offerings.
God has a beautiful plan for His future temple in Jerusalem. God has also a plan for His church and His people individually today. God’s people are His temple. We are to be a holy temple dedicated to Him so that His glory can be shown.[:]
