“I will surely gather all of you, Jacob; I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel. I will bring them together like sheep in a pen, like a flock in its pasture; the place will throng with people. The One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their King will pass through before them, the Lord at their head.” (Micah 2:12-13)
MAN’S PLANS: (vs. 1-2)
- Plan iniquity and plot evil
- Covet fields and seize house
GO’D PLANS: (vs. 3-5)
- He will ring disaster against his people
- There will be time of calamity
- The people will be ridiculed
- Man’s possession will be divideD
FALSE PROPHETS (vs. 6-11)
False prophets were preaching prosperity but Micah was announcing doom. People wanted to hear pleasant message and rejected God’s Word.
DELIVERANCE PROMISED (vs 12-13)
The gracious God promised hope. He would spare a remnant and gather them together for His future kingdom. The Lord will be their king and Shepherd.
REFLECTION:
No matter how people plan, it is God’s plan that will prevail.
