[:en]SCRIPTURE:  HABAKKUK 3

“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior” (Habakkuk 3:17-18)

The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights” (Habakkuk 3:19)

HABAKKUK’S PRAYER (vs. 1-19)

Habakkuk prayed to God asking him to remember mercy in wrath.  He reviewed God’s work in the past and recalled His greatness and power.  And he was confident that God would work for His people by using the Babylonians for His glory.  God would free Israel from captivity and they will experience peace again.  His confidence in God enabled him to rejoice in the Lord and be joyful in God his Savior.

In chapter l – Habakkuk started in the deep valley.

In chapter 2 – He went up to stand in watch station.

In Chapter 3 – He was in the mountain praising God with renewed strength.
