Our Daily Scripture – 10/1/22

SCRIPTURE:  REVELATION 13

BIBLE VERSES:

“People worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can wage war against it?” (Revelation 13:4)

“ The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.  It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.” (Revelation 13:15-17)

“This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.[e] That number is 666.” (Revelation 13:18)

THE BEAST OUT OF THE SEA (vs. 1-10)

DESCRIPTION OF THE BEAST OUT OF THE SEA:

  1. He had 10 horns, 7 heads and  10 crowns on his horn with blasphemous name on each head (v. 1)
  2. He resembled a leopard with feed like of bear and mouth like that of a lion (v. 2a)
  3. The dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority (v. 2b)
  4. He had a fatal wound but had been healed (v. 3)
  5. H was being worshiped by men (v. 4)
  6. He uttered proud words and blasphemies exercising his authority for 42 months (v. 5)
  7. He blasphemed God and slandered His name and His dwelling place and those who live in heaven (v. 6)
  8. He made wars against the saints and conquered them (v. 7)
  9. He was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nations (v. 7b)
  10. All inhabitants of the earth worship him except those whose name that have been written in the Book of Life (v. 8)

THE BEAST OUT OF THE EARTH (vs. 11-18)

DESCRIPTION OF THE BEAST OUT OF THE EARTH:

  1. He had two horns like a lamb but he spoke like a dragon (v. 11)
  2. He exercised all the authority of the first beast and made the earth and its inhabitants to worship first beast (v. 12)
  3. He performed great and miraculous sings causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men (v. 13)
  4. He deceived the inhabitants of the earth by ordering the inhabitants to set up an image in honor of the first beast (v. 14)
  5. He gave power to the first beasts and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed (v. 15)
  6. He forced everyone to received a mark (#666) on his forehead.  Otherwise, he could not buy or sell without the mark. (vs. 16-17)

THOUGHTS:

This Beast from the sea is the Anti-chirst who is above all the tyrants and dictators of world history.  He is the counterfeit Christ who speaks blasphemous word against God in heaven.  He leads the world to worship him and persecuted the saint’s on earth.  He combines political, economic and religious power together to control the whole world.

The Beast from the Land is the false prophet who orders the image of the Beast to be made.  His goal is to establish economic control by demanding that his mark be made in the forehead or on the right hand of his followers.  Those without his rod will suffer greatly.

ANALYSIS OF NUMBER 666:

  1.  The first 6 RomAn number has a total of 6     (I=1;   V=5,  X=10,     C=100.      D=500
  2. Six is the number of man – man was created on the 6th day.
  3. Total number of a day are a multiple of 6 (4 x 6 = 24)
  4. Total month of a year are multiples of 6 (2×6=12)
  5. Total number of minutes are multiples of 6+ (6×10 = 60)
  6. Hebrew Old Testament use 4 different words to mean man and the New Testament uses 2 = a total of 6
  7. Number “6” was used in the servant mystery religion of the East
