[:en]Thoughts from 2 Chronicles 8[:]

[:en]After the temple was built for 20 years, Solomon rebuilt the villages and made non-Israelites as his labor force.  He sacrificed burnt offerings to the Lord, according to the daily requirement for offerings commanded by Moses for Sabbaths, New Moons and the three annual feasts – the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles.   He appointed priest for their duties and the Levites to lead the praise and assist the priest (v. 12-14).  He also appointed gatekeepers and seamen and assigned commanders, chief officials and fighting men to do their duties.[:]
