[:en]Thoughts from 2 Chronicles 14[:]

[:en]Asa succeeded Abijah as king and in his days, the country was at peace for 10 years.  Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the Lord.  He removed all the foreign altars, high places and built up the fortified cities of Judah.  He commanded Judah to seek the Lord and obey His law and commands.  When Zerah the Cushite marched against them with a vast army and 200 chariots, Asa called to the Lord for help.  The Lord struck down the Cushites before Asa and Judah.  The Cushites fled and the men of Judah destroyed and plundered all the villages.  They also attacked the camps of the herdsmen and carried off droves of sheep and goats and camels .  Then they returned to Jerusalem.
