THOUGHTS:
The curtain separated the 2 sacred places in the Tabernacle – the Holy Place and the Most Holy place. The priest entered the Holy place each day to converse with God and to feed the altar of incense, the lampstand and the table with the Bread of Presence. The Most Holy Place was where God himself dwell. His presence rested on the atonement cover which covered the Ark of the Covenant. Only the high priest could enter the Most High place one a year on Day of Atonement to make atonement for the sins of the nation. When Jesus Christ died on the cross, the curtain in the temple was torn from top to bottom. It symbolizes our free access to God without having to approach God through priests and sacrifices.
