[:en]Timothy’s grandmother Lois and mother Eunice were the one who led him to know God and taught him God’s word. (2 Tim. 1:5). Paul encouraged Timothy to continue his sincere faith in God. He also exhorted him to be strong for “God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power, of love and of self-disciple. (2 Tim. 1:6). He instructed him to keep the pattern of sound teaching of faith and love in Christ Jesus.
As believers in Christ, we must seek spiritual food by reading and studying God’s word. We must have a desire to learn and grow closer to Him.
