Our Daily Scripture – 1/5/23

SCRIPTURE:  EXODUS 37

THE ARK (vs. 1-9)

Bezabel was the one who made the ark according to the specification commanded by God.

THE TABLE (vs. 10-16)

The table and  poles were made of acacia wood – two cubits long, a cubit wide, and a cubit and a half high.  It  was overlaid with pure gold with gold molding on the rim.  There were four gold rings fastened to the four corners of the 4 legs.  They made from pure gold the articles for the table – its plates and dishes and bowls and its pitchers for the pouring out of drink offerings.

THE LAMPSTAND (vs. 17-23)

The lampstand was made of pure gold with flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms.  They also made seven lamps, as well as its wick trimmers and trays, of pure gold.  They made the lampstand and all its accessories from one talent of pure gold.

THE ALTAR OF INCENSE (vs. 25-29)

They made the altar of incense out of acacia wood.  It has 4 sides overlaid  with pure gold and gold molding.  They also made the sacred anointing oil and the pure, gragrant incense – the work of a perfumer.

THOUGHTS:

Each aspect of the making of the Ark, the Table, the Lampstand and The Altar of Incense was mentioned in detail because each part was important to God.  If we expect God to be concerned about the details of our lives, we must pay attention to the details of His instruction.
