SCRIPTURE: DEUTERONOMY 5
BIBLE VERSES:
“So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left. Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.” (Deuteronomy 5:32-33)
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS (vs. 1-33)
- You shall have no other gods before me.
- You shall not make idols in any form and bow down to worship them.
- You shall not misuse the name of the Lord.
- Observe the Sabbath day and keep it holy.
- Honor your father and mother that you may live long and go well.
- You shall not murder.
- You shall not commit adultery.
- You shall not steal.
- You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
- You shall not covet anything from your neighbor.
THOUGHTS:
3 RESPONSIBILITES WE HAVE TO DO WITH HIS COMMANDMENTS:
- Hear them – absorbing and accepting information from God
- Learn them – understand its meaning and implication.
- Do them – putting into action to all that we have learned and understood.
