[:en]Thoughts from 2 Chronicles 36[:]

[:en]Jehoahaz was 23 when he became king.  He reigned for 3 months.  The king of Egypt dethroned him and carried him off to Egypt.  Eliakim, brother of Jehoahaz was made king over Judah by the king of Egypt and his name was changed to Jehoiakim.

Jehoiakim was 25 years old when he became king and he reigned for 11 years.  He did evil in the eyes of the Lord.  Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon attacked him , bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon.  Jehoiachin, his son succeeded him as king.

Jehoiachin was 18 years old when he became king.  He reigned for 3 months and 10 days.  He did evil in the eyes of the Lord.  King Nebuchanezzar brought him to Babylon and made his uncle Zedekiah, king over Judah.

Zedekiah was 21 years old when he became king and he reigned over Jerusalem for 11 years.  He did evil in the eyes of the Lord.  He became stiff-necked with hardened heart and became more unfaithful to God.  God handed all of them to Nebuchadnezzar.  The Babylonians carried all the articles from the temple and set fire on it.  They also broke down the wall of Jerusalem and carried the remnants into exile to Babylon.  They became servants to him until the kingdom of Persia came to power.[:]
