SCRIPTURE: 2 SAMUEL 23
THE LAST WORDS OF DAVID (vs. 1-7)
DAVID WROTE A BEAUTIFUL BRIEF SONG ABOUT LEADERSHIP:
- A leader must be anointed by God. (v. 1)
- He must know the word of God. (v. 2)
- He must rule in righteousness and in fear of God. (v. 3)
- He must be right with God. (v. 5)
David described good leadership is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning and like the brightness after rain that brings the grass from the the earth.

THOUGHTS:
The three mighty men risked their lives to get water for David. But David refused to drink it because he was so moved by the sacrifice it represented. Instead, he offered it to the Lord as a drink offering. David did small things with great love to the Lord.
