THE NEW RESIDENTS OF JERUSALEM (vs. 1-36)
The leaders of the people settled in Jerusalem and the rest of the people cast lots to bring one out of every ten to live in Jerusalem, the holy City, while the remaining nine were to say in their own towns.

- From the descendants of Benjamin – total of 928
- From the Priest – total of 1192
- From the Levites – total of 284
- From the gatekeepers – total of 172
