THOUGHTS:
Job was suffering but his friend did not feel it or try to help him carry his grief and burden. Poison arrows were shot at Job and his friends did not apply medicine to his painful wounds. We must learn to empathize people in agony. Do not disappoint hurting people by being critical and failing to care. The Bible teaches us to bear one another’s burden. (Gal. 6:2)
When people are going through severe trials, ill advice is distasteful. They may listen politely but inside, they are upset. Be slow to give advice to those who are hurting. They need more compassion than advice.
Job wanted to die in order to free himself from his grief and discomfort. But God did not grant his request because he has greater plan for him. When faced with rough times, our tendency is to give up and get out. But Faith can only be tested during difficult times. So trust God and know that He is in control and will take care of you!
