DAVID’S HAPPY ENDING:

All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed;  they will turn back in sudden disgrace.

THOUGHTS:

David wrote this Psalms when he was sick and in pain.  He thought he was going to die.   But despite of his situation, David did not waver in his faith.  He prayed for mercy and grace.  And God heard and answered his prayer.  His enemies were ashamed.  When night is dark and long, when you are discouraged and depressed, keep on trusting the Lord.  And the dawn will come in God’s time.

David asked God not to discipline him in anger.  He poured out his heart with tears by completely honest with God.  We can be honest with God even when we are filled with anger or despair because God knows us thoroughly and wants the best for us.  Anger may result in rush outward acts or turning inward in depression.  As we trust in our all-powerful God, we don’t have to be victims of circumstances.  If we are honest with God, He will help us turn our attention from ourselves to Him and His mercy.
