Our Daily Scripture – 12/9/23 (Saturday)

SCRIPTURE;  PSALMS 12

MEMORY VERSE:

“And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.” (Psalms 12:6)

In this chapter, David emphasized the significance of our “lips” and “tongues”.  Signs of the ungodly are the flattering lips that speak lies with deception to his neighbor and boastful tongue that refuses to submit to the Lord.  But the Lord will arise and protect the weak and needy from those who oppress and malign them.  He will keep the righteous safe and sound.

THOUGHTS:

David cried for help from the Lord because the godly remnant were getting smaller and smaller and the faithful had vanished.  He heard flattering words, proud speeches, boastful tongue coupled with oppressive conduct.  But he trusted in God’s word because it is pure, flawless like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.  Let your words to controlled by His Word so that God will make your words valuable.
