SCRIPTURE: PSALMS 23
MEMORY VERSES:
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:1-4)
Shepherd cares for the sheep. He is the one providing food, water, protection and shelter for the sheep. The Lord is my shepherd means that the Lord feeds us and leads us. He meets the everyday needs of our lives. He also shows us the right path of righteousness and goes before us to prepare the way. Even in places of danger, we need not be afraid because He is with us. He is here to care for our every hurt and heal every bruise. One day, we will realize that goodness and mercy follows in every valley that we experience in our lives. All we need to do is just to follow God, our Shepherd.
