Our Daily Scripture – 12/23/23 (Saturday)

SCRIPTURE:  PSALMS 26

MEMORY VERSE:

“Test me, O Lord, O Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth.” (Psalms 26:2-3)

PROOFS OF A BLAMELESS LIFE:

  1.  Trust in the Lord without wavering. (v. 1)
  2.  Walk continually in His truth. (v. 3)
  3.  Not sitting with deceitful men. (v. 4a)
  4.  Not consorting with hypocrites. (v. 4b)
  5.  Abhor the assembly of evildoers. (v. 5a)
  6.  Refuse to sit with the wicked. (v. 5b)
  7.  Going to the Lord’s altar with innocent hands. (v. 6)
  8.  Proclaiming praise of His wonderful deeds. (v. 7)
  9.  Love the house of the Lord. (v. 8)
  10.  Standing on level ground and praising God in the great assembly (v. 12)

In contrasts, sinners are bloodthirsty men whose hands are wicked and full of bribes.

THOUGHTS:

David examined himself to make sure that he was living a blameless life.  Then, he focused his attention on the Lord when his enemies attacked him.  He continued to trust in the Lord without wavering.  We should also have a personal inventory of our mind and heart to see if we are keeping ourselves clean while walking, standing or sitting.  Focus on the Lord and keep seeking Him.  God will vindicate you in due time.

ANONYMOUS QUOTE:  “Look at others and be disturbed; Look at self and be depressed; Look at Jesus and you will be blessed.”
