Our Daily Scripture – 1/13/24 (Sat.)

SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 47

MEMORY VERSES:

“Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.” (Psalm 47:1)

“Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises.” (Psalm 47:6)

This is a praise celebration that involves hand-clapping, shouting and loud singing because of the greatness of God:

  1.  He is the awesome Lord most High, the great King over all earth. (v. 2)
  2.  He subdued nations and peoples. (v. 3)
  3.  He chose inheritance for Israel, the pride of Jacob, whom he loved. (v. 4)
  4.  He ascended to heaven with shout of joy and sounding of trumpets. (v. 5)
  5.  He is the King. (v. 7)
  6.  He reigns over the nations. (v. 8a)
  7.  He is seated on his holy throne. (v. 8b)
  8.  He is greatly exalted. (v. 9)

THOUGHTS;

The Lord Most Hight is awesome beyond words.  We cannot describe him completely but we can tell others what He has done for us.  Try your best to acknowledge God’s greatness and praise Him with a thankful heart.
