THOUGHTS:
Since young until his mature years, David always depended and trusted God. When he was old, he prayed that God would not abandon him. When you are now old, trust God to help you. Praise God for his righteousness and goodness. Continue to pray, to praise and set your hope in Him. Depend on his strength and be a good witness to point Christ to unbelievers.
David testified to others of all God had done for him. Remembering our life’s blessings will help us to see the consistency of God’s grace throughout our lives.
During David’s sunset years, he remembered how God had been His constant helper in the past. Likewise, as you grow old, your physical power wanes and you need God to be your constant help. So, no matter what your situation is, keep on expecting His help and hope in Him so that you can keep serving Him.
