Our Daily Scripture – 3/6/24 (Wednesday)

SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 100

MEMORY VERSES:

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.   Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” (Psalm 100:1-2)

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” (Psalm 100:4)

This is a Psalm of thanksgiving.  The Psalmist showed us how to give thanks to the Lord:

  1.  Shout for joy to the Lord. (v. 1)
  2.  Worship the Lord with gladness. ( v. 2)
  3.  Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. (v. 4a)
  4.  Give thanks to him and praise his name. (v. 4b)

REASONS FOR GIVING THANKS TO GOD:

  1. He made us and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. (v. 3)
  2. He is good and his love endures forever. (v. 5a)
  3. His faithfulness continues through all generations. (v. 5b)

THOUGHTS:

WAYS TO SHOW OUR GRATITUDE TO GOD:

  1.  By serving the Lord with joy and gladness.
  2.  By submitting to Him as we are the sheep and He is the shepherd.
  3.  By giving sacrifices through good works, offering of our talents, treasure and time.
