THOUGHTS:

Despite of God’s goodness to the Israelites, they sinned against Him.  They forgot His goodness and ignored his counsel.  He gave them manna and they lusted for meat.  They criticized their leaders, worship a godless idol and refused to enter the Promised land.  They compromised with the heathen nations.  God had to chasten them repeatedly and despise them among the nations.  This is also true with us.  We often used our lives the freedom to please ourselves.  But God’s purpose for our lives is to honor Him and glorify His name.
