It recorded prayers for God’s help and affirmation of the writer’s faith in God despite of his difficulties. May we mediate on this Psalm for us to love and treasure the Word of God and willingly obey it.

THOUGHTS;
This Psalm is both the longest Psalm and the longest chapter of the Bible. It was probably written by Ezra after the temple was rebuilt. The synonym of the the Word of God are: Bible, Truth, Law, Precepts, Statutes, Commands and Decrees. Its main purpose is for us to read God’s word and put His word into practice, memorize it and hide them in our hearts. Because our environment has so many temptations to lead us into impure lives, we are drowning in a sea of impurity. We can only stay pure by finding strength and wisdom in reading God’s Word and doing what it says. For keeping God’s laws gives us freedom from sin and enables us to live God’s way and fulfill His plan in our lives.
