Our Daily Scripture – 4/6/24 (Saturday)

SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 127

MEMORY VERSES:

“Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.  Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain” (Psalm 127:1-2)

“Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.  Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one’s youth” (Psalm 127:3-4)

The Lord is very important in our lives.  Without Him, we can do nothing.  We rise up early in the morning and sleep late at night.  We work in order to live.  But it is still God who controls everything.  God also gives children as a reward for our heritage.

THOUGHTS:

Value the blessings of having children.  Appreciate, love, guard and cultivate them so that they can be arrows for fighting the Lord’s battles.  Keep them polished and sharp to aim at the right direction.  Build a home, not a house.  Build for the future not for the present.
