SCRIPTURE:  ISAIAH 25

MEMORY VERSSE:

“O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness, you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.” (Isaiah 25:1)

PRAISE TO THE LORD (vs. 1-12)

ISAIAH’S VIEW OF GOD:

  1.  He is a perfect, faithful and marvelous God. (vs. 1-3)
  2.  He is a refuge to the poor and the needy, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. (v. 4)
  3.  He is a host preparing a feast of rich food for all people. (v. 6)
  4.  He is a judge to destroy the evil nations (v. 7), to wipe away the tears and remove the disgrace of His people. (v. 8), and to bring down pride to dust. (vs. 11-12).

THOUGHTS:

This chapter prophesied God’s messianic feast celebrating the overthrow of evil and the joy of eternity with God.  In order to participate with this feast, we must believe in Christ, accept His salvation and live by faith.
