SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 63
GOD’S DAY OF VENGEANCE AND REDEMPTION (vs. 1-6)
Jesus was coming to defeat the enemies. The day of vengeance has come for God to redeem Israel.
PRAISE AND PRAYER (vs. 6-19)
The loving kindness, goodness, mercy and love of God were manifested when He defeated the enemies and saved His people. God cared for His children and promised them glory. Isaiah fervently prayed for the Israelites and pleaded God to return and restore His temple.
THOUGHTS:
Isaiah asked God to show mercy and compassion to the faithful remnants and punish the enemies. Isaiah recited all the past favors assuring the Israelites the fulfillment of God’s promises.
As we face our life’s challenges, let us recall all the favors that God had given us. Trust in His promises of love, compassion and care.
