SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 64
MEMORY VERSE:
“Yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. Do not be angry beyond measure, O Lord; do not remember our sins forever. Oh, look upon us, we pray, for we are all your people.” (Isaiah 64:8-9)
The Jews were defeated and disgraced before their enemies. God held His peace and did not intervene. God did not interceded for them because the people had cut off relationship with God. They did not pray nor confess their sins. They did not obey nor submit to God. That was why God kept silent and did not bless them.
THOUGHTS:
Sin makes us unclean so that we cannot approach God. The only way for God to come into our presence is for us to confess our sins, ask for forgiveness and have faith in Him.
