Our Daily Scripture – 12/1/24 (Sunday)

SCRIPTURE:  EZEKIEL 42

ROOMS FOR THE PRIESTS (vs. 1-20)

Ezekiel was led into the room for the priests and showed him all the measurements.  The priest room was where the priests who approached the Lord and ate the most holy offerings – grain offering, sin offering and guilt offering.  When they entered the holy precints,, they had to leave behind the garments before they can go into the outer court.  The area all around – east, north, south, west are all 500 cubits.  It had a wall around it – 500 cubits length and 500 cubits wide to separate the holy from the common.

THOUGHTS:

There is a strict rule for the priest to follow.  When they entered the holy place, they were required to wear the holy garments.  When they were going out, they had to change their clothes and left the garments.  It symbolized the importance of having a holy heart when approaching God.
