SCRIPTURE: EZEKIEL 47
THE RIVER FROM THE TEMPLE (vs. 1-12)
The river was flowing from the south side of the temple towards the east. A man led Ezekiel through the water from ankle deep, knee deep, waist until the river cannot be crossed. Then he led Ezekiel back to the bank of the river. He saw a great number of trees on each side of the river. Swamps of living creatures live in the water. Fishermen went to spread their nets to catch many kinds of fish. All kinds of fruit trees also grow on both banks of the river. They bear fruits to serve for food and their leaves for healing.
THE BOUNDARIES OF THE LAND (vs. 13-23)
The boundaries of East. West, North and South were specified to be allotted as inheritance among the tribes of Israel and also for the aliens who have children that settled there.
THOUGHTS:
The river symbolizes life from God and the blessings that flow from His throne. it speaks of the healing and life-giving power of the Holy Spirit of God. God gives us opportunities to go to the deep to heal and enjoy our lives. God allows the children of foreigners to inherit the property like the Israelites. Anyone who accepts the standards and willing to obey may enjoy the blessings of God’s inheritance.
