THOUGHTS:
This chapter portrayed 4 visions:
- Jerusalem would be destroyed by Babylon but it would become the capital of the kingdom.
- The Lord will gather His flock and be their shepherd and king. He will reign in righteousness.
- There would be a time of pain for Jerusalem like a woman delivering a son but God promised to deliver and restore them.
- One day, God’s people will defeat their enemies; they will have blessings of harvest to be given to the Lord.
Micah predicted the end of the kings. He told Judah that Babylon would destroy their land and carry away its king. But later, God would return his people to their land. Those events had already happened.
God may reveal to us the future with the purpose of changing our behavior. At present, we should grasp the opportunity to serve Him faithfully while there is time to do it.
