[:en]Thoughts from Psalm 9[:]

[:en]Two important attributes of God are present in this chapter:

  1.  God is Just – He judged the nations that oppressed other nations  (vs. 4, 8).  Powerful nations had  fallen. (vs. 5-6)  They had sunk in the pit that they made and in the net that they had their own foot being caught(v.  15)
  2. God is Love – He defended the poor and oppressed.  He judged the powerful oppressor because he was concerned for the poor and afflicted.  (v. 18)

So, we have to give praise to Him (v. 1), thank him for his wonderful deeds in the past (v. 11) and sing praises to His name (vs. 2, 11).[:]
