[:en]1)-The Lord is my Shepherd – There are two basic needs of sheep – green pastures and still water. The shepherd feeds his flock and find water for them. He gathers the lambs in his arms and carry them in his bosom. The Lord is our Shepherd. We shall not want because he will meet our physical, emotional and spiritual needs (vs. 1-2) “And my God will meet all yur needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19)
2)-The Lord guards and protects – The shepherd uses rod to protect his sheep from the attacks of wild animals and staff to guide in the right way. The Lord also leads us in the path of righteousness. (v. 3) Even when we walk in the valley of the shadow of death, we need not be afraid because God is with us and he comforts us (v. 4)
2)-The Lord bestows blessings – We can drink of the refreshing water of life, eat in the presence of our enemies and receive the anointing oil of the Spirit (v. 5). He gives us an overflowing cup of blessings with goodness and mercy following us all the days of our lives (v.6)[:]
