[:en]This Psalm is David’s personal testimony of how he pretended to be insane before Abimelech so that he can escape.

Words of Praise:

  1. I will extol and praise the Lord (v. 1),
  2. I will glorify and exalt his name (v. 3)

Words of Encouragement :

  1. Taste and see that the Lord is good (v. 8a);
  2. Blessed is the name who take refuge in him (v. 8b);
  3. Those who fear him lack nothing (v. 9);
  4. Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing (v. 10)

Words of Wisdom:

  1. Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from spreading lies (v. 13);
  2. Turn from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it (v. 14)

Words of Assurance:    1.

  1. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry (v. 15);
  2. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil (v. 16);
  3. The Lord hears the cry of the righteous and he delivers them from all their troubles (v. 17);
  4. The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (v. 18);
  5. The Lord delivers the righteous from many troubles (v. 19);
  6. The Lord protects the body of the righteous (v. 20);
  7. The Lord will condemn the wicked and the foes of the righteous (v.21)
