[:en]This Psalm was written when David was suffering from unjust and oppressive treatment.
To those who were attacking him, he prayed: “Contend O Lord, with them who contend with me; fight those who fight against me” (v. 1)
To those who were accusing him, he prayed: “Vindicate me in your righteousness, O Lord, my God. Do not let them gloat over me” (v. 24)
There are people who attack us without cause. But the Lord will fight for us. He can defend us with His might. “Then my soul will rejoice in the Lord and delight in his salvation” (v. 9)
There are people who accused us unjustly. But the Lord will vindicate for us. We can “Shout for joy and gladness and say the Lord be exalted” (v. 27)
“My tongue will speak of you righteousness and of your praises all day long”
