[:en]Scripture Reading: Matthew 12:1-8
Biblical Truth: Jesus and his disciples went through the grain fields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry, so they began to pull some heads of grain and eat them. When the pharisees saw it, they condemned them and said: “Look, your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath”. But Jesus refuted them with examples of David, who ate the consecrated bread and the priests in the temple who desecrated the Sabbath day and yet they are innocent. (vs. 1-5)
Personal Application: The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath. He can bend the laws of His own remembrance if He need to. Those who really want to find God will recognize Him. Christian living should not be a set of dead laws. What is important is to get behind the law to its author who is God himself.
Prayer: Help us Lord, to remember that you are the author of the law and that we should obey you.[:]
