[:en]Scripture Reading: Matthew 13:53-58
Biblical Truth: Jesus was preaching performing miracles in his hometown. They recognized the wisdom of His teachings and the reality of His miracles but they did not believe in Him. They rejected His message and missed the blessings of His presence. (Luke 13:34-35). No wonder Jesus said: “Only in his hometown and in his own house is a prophet without honor” (Mat. 13:57)
Personal Application: Oftentimes home pastors also feel the same way. Due to over-familiarity, they have been neglected and taken for granted. Let us show our appreciation for their sacrifices and the work they have done for Christ.
Prayer: Father, cleanse our heart from being skeptical and judgmental. Open our hearts to receive your teachings through your servants.[:]
