[:en]Thoughts from Acts 15[:]

[:en]The legalists from Judea visited the church in Antioch and taught that Gentiles must be circumcised before they can be Christians.  This is contrary to the teaching of salvation by grace through faith.  To resolve this issue, the church asked the Gentiles not to offend the Jews by requiring them to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. (v. 29) Paul and Barnabas parted ways. Paul brought Silas and went to Syria and Cilicia, while Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus.[:]
