First, he told all the nations and people to praise and extol Him. (v. 1) But this is only possible if the people of the world know him and believe in Him. That places us with the responsibility to make his name known and his salvation proclaimed to all people around the world.
Second, he gives us the reason of why we should praise Him. “For great is His love towards us and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever” (v. 2) Most often, we take for granted the things that God has done for us. We fail to recognize His numerous blessings and overlook his great provisions. That is why the psalmist told us to remember the love and faithfulness of God and never forget to say thanks to Him.[:]
