[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (8/25/17)[:]

[:en]This verse in Romans 8:28 “We know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose has bee used to comfort people who are suffering misfortune in life.  Take hymn writer Fanny Crosby as an example.  She was blind at the age of 5.  But at only age 8, she began to write poetry and hymns.  She had written over 8000 sacred songs and hymns.  Among them are:  “Blessed Assurance”, “Safe in the Arms of Jesus”, “Pass Me Not”, and  “O Gentle Savior”.  God used her difficulty to bless the world and bring glory to Him.

It is hard to understand how anything good can come from tragedy.  But God his good purpose for our trials.  It may a means to make us draw closer to him.[:]
