[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (9/08/17)[:]

[:en]After Moses died, God chose Joshua to lead the Israelites into the promised land.  The first stronghold they faced was the city of Jericho.  When Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front with a drawn sword in his hand.  When he recognized him, he fell face down to the ground in reverence and asked:  “What message does my Lord has to his servant?” (Joshua 5:25).  He followed the Lord’s instruction and was victorious against the enemies.  In another occasion, Joshua and the people did not inquire of the Lord and were deceived in  a peace treaty with Gibeon, the enemies in the land of Canaan (Joshua 9:14).

As you face life’s struggle, you should depend upon the Lord and ask for his guidance to lead the way.  Humble yourself and seek God’s will.[:]
