[:en]July 28, 1914 marked the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War 1.  In the TV program “Mr. Selfridge”, it included an episode set in 1914 that showed young male employees of a department store in London lining up to volunteer for the army.  The soldiers were so young, so eager and willing to sacrifice their lives for their country.

Jesus went to the cross to defeat sin and death.  He died a terrified death to free us from eternal damnation.  He demonstrated his greatest love by forgiving us and paying the penalty of our sins. He conquered death by His resurrection so that we can become part of His forever family.[:]
