[:en]When wickedness and injustice were rampant among the Israelites, Habakkuk was perplexed on why God would use the Chaldeans to correct Judah. The Chaldeans were more notorious, violent and cruel than Judah. They worshiped false gods and depended on their military power. But despite of his confusion, Habakkuk still believed that God is a God of justice, mercy and truth. (Ps. 89:14) He learned to look at his circumstance from the framework of God’s character. He concluded: “The Sovereign Lord is my strength, he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights” (Hab. 3:19)
Even though you can not see and understand the circumstances that surround you, remember that God is good and faithful. His thoughts are not our thoughts, neither His ways our ways” (Isa. 55:8) You should Trust His Heart.[:]
