[:en]Thoughts from Galatians 1[:]

[:en]Christian churches in Galatia founded by Paul were confused by the false teachings of Judaizers.  They taught that all the Jewish laws – circumcision, eating special foods and celebrating Jewish feast day must be followed in order to be saved.  The Judaizers did not believed in the authority of Paul and told the Christians not to listen to him.

But Paul told them that one cannot be saved by obeying the law.  It is only through faith in Christ that one can enjoy grace and freedom from the bondage of sin.

Paul told them that the gospel he preached was not man-made but he received it by revelation from Jesus Christ (vs. 11-12)  Before, he was very zealous for traditions, but when called by His grace, he became a preacher of the gospel to the Gentiles (vs. 13-16).  And he was preaching the faith that he once tried to destroy (v. 23)[:]
