Biblical Truth: If someone is going through great suffering, all he needs is your comfort and encouragement. He wants a friend who is willing to just sit beside him and console him for his misery We need to be the representation of Christ to them.
If you are the sufferer, cast all your hope in God. Christ is our perfect advocate who will intercedes on your behalf.
Personal Application: Do not be a “miserable comforter” like Job’s well-meaning friends. Use your mouth to encourage and comfort people.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank you Lord because we trust you to be the best comforter whom we can cling on in times of suffering.[:]
