[:en]Scripture Reading: Job 18
Biblical Truth: Job contended that the wicked prosper and the righteous suffer, but Job’s friend Bildah thought otherwise. He viewed Job’s affliction as a consequence of sin. In real life, we know that Job was right because very often, the wicked do not get punished at all in their life and the righteous got what the wicked deserve.
Personal Application: Both the righteous and wicked will face death. But we have nothing to fear because death no longer holds any terror for us as the Lord had defeated death forever. He will swallow up death, wipe away tears and remove the disgrace of His people. (Isaiah 28:L8) He will give us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor. 15:14)
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for conquering death for us. May we rest our hope in you when we are falsely accused or undergoing suffering.[:]
