[:en]When Assyria invaded Judah, the leaders did not turn to God for help. Instead, they went to seek alliance with Egypt. But Egypt was helpless and useless because they brought only shame and disgrace (v. 5) Their high wall collapsed and were broken into pieces like pottery. (v. 14)
But the gracious Lord heard and answered their call. (v. 19) He guided them saying: “This is the way, walk in it” (v. 21) When they threw away the idols, (v. -21), He blessed them (v. 23) and led them to victory (vs. 27-28) with songs to rejoice. (v. 29) The Lord will shatter Assyria (v. 31)[:]
