[:en]Scripture Reading:  Job 21

Biblical Truth:  Job refuted the claim of his friend Zophar that the wicked is being cut off from earth prematurely leaving no descendants.  In reality, we see the wicked prosper and flourish.  They enjoy wealth and are happy all the days of their lives.  Yet inspire of this, Job still acknowledged God’s sovereignty. (v. 17)  He knew that God does as He wills to individuals. (vs. 23-24)

Personal Application:  The way you respond to your personal struggles reveals your attitude towards God.  Do not become bitter when you see how wicked people flourish in your midst.  Instead, trust God and know that He is in control and future judgment in the the next life is certain.

Prayer:  Lord, help me to focus on you and not on the circumstances around me.  Increase my faith to have complete trust in you.[:]
